Problem - People with diabetes were not scheduling preventive annual eye exams to avoid diabetic eye disease.
Approach – We worked with Joslin's clinical leadership to execute a program which educated patients with diabetes and their families about diabetic eye disease and encouraged them to make an appointment. The "You Might Not See it Coming. But We Can." theme informed and engaged patients with messaging that was high in emotion and visible across multiple channels, including Boston-area buses.
Results. In one summer:
- Engaged 54 patients to schedule exams for diabetic eye disease
- Informed >17,000 diabetes patients about need for annual eye exam
- Educated >5,000 diabetes patients who viewed a video about diabetic eye disease
- Enhanced brand preference for Joslin by reinforcing its diabetes expertise

“In her 4 years as the VP of Marketing, Vicki made a significant contribution to the company. Whenever she implemented a [marketing] program, she was always committed to demonstrating results with metrics. I would recommend Vicki as a person with high integrity and professional skills that can be used to meet any company’s business objectives.”
Paul W. Chisholm, retired CEO,
“Vicki was a key contributor to our strategic plan and very competently designed and led a number of new cost-efficient marketing initiatives that dramatically increased our customer base and resulted in major revenue (and profit) increases. I highly recommend her -- a great strategic thinker and a dynamic leader.”
Jack Steinkrauss, former CFO,
IntelliReach Corporation (acquired by WIPRO)
“Vicki is a strong strategic thinker but also very hands-on. This gives her the leadership to set the tone, in addition to the understanding for how these strategies influence all of the key channels.”
Doug Fox, brand champion and President,
“Vicki understands that tracking and analyzing outcomes helps lead to peak performance. She helped tie together [Joslin’s] varied departments to align the strategy of the organization.”

I have a proven track record as Chief Marketing Officer at Joslin Diabetes Center and as the marketing leader at Nuance Healthcare, UpToDate and many tech companies.
My early career as an industry analyst gave me the analytical training and experience to tightly align with business objectives and deliver measurable results against those objectives. What can’t be measured can’t be improved.
Today, I am passionate about improving healthcare outcomes. I started my company to support physicians and clinical care teams with programs that empower patients; engage patients in behavior change; and ultimately improve patient care outcomes.
